Lakers odds: Nuggets -5
The Lakers and Nuggets have played a closely contested series and don’t expect that to change. The Lakers did pull out Game 5 but that was mostly spurred on by a Nuggets cold streak at the end of the third/start of the fourth quarter. The Nuggets are a much better team at home and should play a much more careful game. Look for them to limit the turnovers as they move on to force a game seven.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the ropes. As their series in the Eastern Conference Finals progresses, they look more and more frustrated while the Magic look more and more confident. The truth is that the Cavaliers just don’t have enough answers for the Magic’s three-pointers, inside-out game and pick-and-rolls. The Cavs will probably win Game 5 on their home court but that may just delay the inevitable.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have looked sluggish in their series against the Orlando Magic but that is mostly because of what the Magic are doing to them. The Cavs can’t stop them on defense and offensively, they can’t find enough of a support cast for LeBron James. James is going off in this series but he has no help. The Magic are too deep, too strong. As a home dog, they are a good bet.

They have had a long layoff after their second round series against and even though they’ll be facing an opponent who went the distance for a second consecutive Game 1, look for them to be sluggish again. The Magic should keep this one close.

Basketball betting: Houston Rockets @ Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers are a bunch of phonies. If they wanted to win the NBA Championship, they probably could. They the most talent but they put forth the least amount of effort. Phil Jackson is lauded as the best coach ever but honestly, this team is really underachieving. If they lose to the Rockets in Game 7, they should really take a good, long look in the mirror.
