BCS Championship odds have been up for a while but now we might see some more line movement as we have some injury news to pass along. Oklahoma Sooners star running back and key special teams returner, DeMarco Murray, is out for the game against the Florida Gators. BCS Championship odds will be affected as Murray is the Sooners best weapon in the backfield and obviously will have to be replaced on special teams.

The Gators have fantasic special teams but Murray was expected to help even the playing field in that aspect. The good news for the Sooners is they have a couple of capable runners in the backfield including Chris Brown.

Is this just another sign that Bob Stoops will once again lead his team to a National Championship game but fail to pay off on BCS National Championship Game odds? Florida will definitely be tough to beat.

Is Mary Kate Olsen Pregnant?

December 15, 2008

We mostly keep it to sports here but it’s hard to stay away from some exotics betting on a quiet Monday. BetOnline.com has Mary Kate Olsen pregnancy odds, which gave me a pretty good laugh.

I have no clue, to be honest. No insight and no inside information. But I will say that I think there’s no way she announces to the public that she’s pregnant before December 31st. Sportsbook odds want to know whether she’ll announce it to the world before the end of this year and I have a hard time believing that will happen. Why now? Why before the end of the year? And why to the public?

Not happening – I’ll take no for -300, Alex.

Presidential Betting

November 3, 2008

Most of the betting that I get into is sports betting but once every four years I get into the presidential hype. Nothing like getting into some exotics betting with presidential betting odds. Many online sports book have odds on whether the next president will be a republican or a democrat. Here’s my pic:

My pick is Barack Obama. -1000 is a lot to lay, but I still like it. Take your chance if you can find that odds at your sports book.

Fairy tales…do come true….it can happen to you…just ask the Philadelphia Phillies, who just won the World Series, or Lubbock, Texas is the spotlight o the entire college football nation this weekend, or the guy who won a 24-game parlay at an online sportsbook.

Or this Grade 7 German class, who’s teacher decided to strip down. I have prayed for this to happen to me in Grade 9 Math Class but it never happened.

Lucky bastards.

Back to sports, though. Texas vs Texas Tech odds: Texas -6. I’ll take the Red Raiders and pray that they actually play with focus and that the Longhorns choke it up in their fourth contest against a Top 10 team.

I know you’re done your World Series odds and you’ve moved on to NHL betting, NASCAR odds or the Texas vs Texas Tech spread, but here’s one last video before we let the World Series go.

Here’s how one Philly fan made a fool of himself celebrated last night:

I guess if there is a where it is acceptable to act somewhat crazy, last night was one. Congratulations Phillies on winning your city’s first championship in 25 years!

In case you were busy with World Series odds like the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers folding in the postseason, or the Houston Texans collapsing on Sunday, or the Wisconsin-Ohio State matchup, or Paris Hilton’s search for a new BFF, then it’s time to let you know that the NHL is back.

The NHL technically started it’s regular season on Saturday as a couple of games were played in Stockholm, Sweden and Prague, Czech Republic, but it’s actually in the middle of it’s pre-season. The rest of the regular season will kick off this Thursday. Yawn. It’s too early to care about the NHL season, especially since it’s not even that cold out yet.
