Super Bowl XLIII: Cardinals’ Adrian Wilson Can Jump
January 29, 2009
Super Bowl XLIII betting is all that we’re talking about right now so let’s take our mind off of it for a minute and think about something else. It’s still somewhat related, but it doesn’t have to do with handicapping.
Check out this ridiculous jump by Cardinals strong safety and 2009 Pro Bowler, Adrian Wilson:
Since he jumps like that, does that improve the Cardinals odds for Super Bowl betting?
I hope not because my money is likely to be lying with the Steelers when it comes to the Super Bowl XLIII spread.
Super Bowl XLIII Total
January 28, 2009
While many people have been looking at the side-plays for Super Bowl betting, not many people have mentioned the Super Bowl XLIII betting total.
It opened at 47 and quickly dropped to 46.5. Since that time, though, it has held steady at the number.
The two teams combined scoring average in the playoffs in 59 points per game, but it’s unlikely that you can play the over based on that very simple math.
I like the under for the Super Bowl betting total because I’m of the opinion that the Steelers defense will dominate the Cardinals offense. The Steelers have a stifling rush defense and their 51 sacks (2nd in NFL) display that they know how to get to the quarterback. If that’s the case, they’ll at least force the Cardinals to be one-dimensional and will probably force Kurt Warner out of his comfort zone.
If that’s the case, there is no way this Super Bowl betting total is hitting 47 points.
I look for the Steelers defense to dictact the pace and the total to go under.
Super Bowl XLIII betting total: under 46.5
Fun Ways To Bet Superbowl Odds
January 27, 2009
There are many fun ways to bet on superbowl odds, but the question is do you care? We don’t bet on all sorts of wacky things like the coin toss, turnovers or first coaches challenge in the regular season, so why do we pile on now that we are betting super bowl 43?
To be honest, there are so many pages to sift through that its become ridiculous. I’m sure there is value somewhere in one of the 49 pages of prop bets, but that to me is not a fun ways to bet on superbowl 43. It’s going to suck the life out of the event and I’ll be hoping for too many things to happen.

I’ll just stick with a side – check back later in the week for, but if you’ve been reading a long most of you know that I’ve been leaning with Steelers odds on super bowl 43.
Mike Tomlin Has Ken Whisenhunt’s Job
January 26, 2009
Steelers odds on super bowl XLIII clearly indicate that they’ll be the champs. Obviously, the games aren’t played on paper, so we’ll have to see the game play out before we hand anyone any trophies.
One underlying storyline that people seem to forget is that Ken Whisenhunt and Mike Tomlin were the two favorites to replace Bill Cowher after the Steelers won the Super Bowl. Tomlin got the job and Whisenhunt took the job in Arizona.

Keep in mind when you’re betting on super bowl 43 that this in many ways is a revenge game for Whisenhunt. But how does revenge impact this steelers vs cardinals line?
I still think the better team is the Steelers and they’ll end up winning, which is why my money will follow them when I’m betting on super bowl 43.
Super Bowl XLIII – Matchup Finally Set
January 19, 2009
Super Bowl XLIII odds are finally up, which means it’s time to start buying Plasma’s and LCD’s from Costco and returning them the day after Pittsburgh wins. Oops…did I accidentally give away my pick?

I know it’s early, but come on, how can you not like the Steeelers for Super Bowl 43 betting? They persevered through one of the toughest schedules in NFL history and their defense is going to shutdown the Cardinals.
Furthermore, you have Anquan Boldin beefing with the coaching staff and you have the Cardinals traveling to play on the East Coast. Enjoy.
The Steelers finished the regular season with 51 sacks, which was good for second-most in the NFL. I’m glad that the Super Bowl Odds are finally up but it kind of sucks that the Cardinals are playing for the NFL Championship.
